Noesis Creation is moving and has moved (there are at present machines at the old local such as the A1.2k as well as everything in the Annex – the CBM4032!). Most of NC and the studio lay in boxes. I didn’t realize just how many C64s I had until I had to moved them.
This move marks a new direction with me. I am not setting things up right away as there is lots of work to do on the two houses, The Amber House (where we moved from) and Crosthwaite upon Churchill (where we have moved to). I am looking at the way things were set up, and it was the most awesome computing set up I had ever had the privilege to use. It was really, really well laid out. Projects piled up (I’m thinking of two piles of disks I started to go through and all the little things that got placed on top, etc) and buried the studio (mostly the floor). It turned into a place to simply stow stuff away quickly to put away or sort out later. Later never seemed to come. :/
I’ve got an idea of how the furnishings in the new digs will be laid out, but I have not decided what machines to set up. I may use the table that I have only used for the 128D, for example, for other machines and vice versa. Only time will tell.
Mean while, the latest LS project, still on hold, is slowly creeping back into my mind. I have the bulk of the code written up using Frodo on my Treo. I just need to hash out the final math to get it to behave itself.
Wow a month later and I haven't unpacked anything. I have been working at the old house for the most part until last week. Now I'm ready to set up machines! I've layed out the desks and tables and bookcases. Most of the library will be in a room formally known as The Shop.
Guess I'd better get off the ThinkPad and get on my feet
The first machine set up was the PET4032. The C128D, A Dell 2Gig Tower, The Sound Equipment, Atari Mega STe, Amiga 1200 AG, Amiga 3000, VIC-20 and C64 are all set up.
The 128 Tower, the two Amiga 2000s, and Amiga 1000 are set up but not all the cables are hooked up. The R30 and the Dubbing Station is setup.
I have one Midi Kb hooked up to the STe -- I've put the sound and music element back into the Studio. The 570 with two printers is setup in the closet and there is space (albeit, very little) for two TPs, one of which is the A21p that I use for planning, email, etc, and the other the Latest Frankenputer Project.
Nice, it sounds like your getting things up now. Good to hear that the ST is on the midi and sound is up. I love the old machines for audio, super fun stuff. I'm just getting set up at my new home, we moved in this last February.
