Blok Copy by Cosine for the C64DTV2Another year(!), another release from Cosine... yes, it really has been an age and a half since their last product and there's just a hint of irony in the air as well because the latest release, Blok Copy DTV, is the same game as the last one! Well okay, not entirely the same because, although it plays pretty much identically to the original Commodore PET version, this port sports some shiny new 8 bits per pixel graphics and has a superb SID soundtrack by veteran C64 musician Sean Connolly rather than the beeper tune that was cobbled together for the PET!

This I got to try out. [edit] Nice one. I'm not so good at remembering the shuffle in the beginning of each level. 3 or 4 moves is ok, but then... I came up with a system for finishing one column at a time using the bottom row as a transport, but it is kind of a slow method. I got to level 8.

Great code, graphics and music. It's really nice to see DTV enhanced/specific games. Can't really comment on gameplay before I manage to finish at least the first level How about a Hummer userport joystick version? Assuming this works on NTSC, that should be a quick update.

This page sums up the required patching, this has a bit more info (and some/all patched games). Really short version: replace $dc00 with $dd01. VICE emulates the Hummer userport joystick, but I wouldn't trust the NTSC timing quite yet.
