Hello everyone. I just picked up two unmodified V1 NTSC DTVs. The video on the first unit seems surprisingly good without any major issues, but the second one seems to suffer from what I'm assuming is the "moire" effect that I've read about in other posts on this forum. Basically the video looks wavy and seems to crawl. My question is whether all of the original DTVs suffered from this problem or was it only some of them? There's a big difference between the video quality between the two DTVs. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the reply. Yes, I am very familiar with your excellent and very informative website. It's a great resource to say the least.
The reason I asked about the video issue is because I own two version 1 DTVs. One was new from an unopened box and the other came from a used video game store. Both of them have issues with the video quality, but the used one is much worse than the new unit. I'm wondering if the used one has a failed component or something else wrong with it. It's as if there's some kind of interference with the video signal going on. If I had to compare it to the quality of the new one I would say that it's ten times as bad. I haven't opened up the DTV yet buy would appreciate any suggestions on what to look for. Thanks for reading my post.
