On the Habitat History page, Keith Elkin mentions this: Some time in 1987, Q-Link had a deal where if you purchased a years membership in advance, they'd discount the membership, and also throw in two things: A book called "Treasure" which had puzzles and riddles in it leading to a real buried treasure somewhere in the United States, and a game called "Habitat". Does anyone have any more information on this Treasure book? Here is what Keith told me: I received that book as part of that package back in 86. I never did find out what happened to the treasure and when I asked QLink about it in 89 the response was that they just gave the book away as part of the promotion but had nothing to do with the book whatsoever so I’d have to contact the publisher for more information. I never did do that and have since lost the book, it was very interesting though. cheers, -dan

I don't remember this. I know Habitat didn't come out until much later, I got an offer to be a beta-tester in like 1989 or 1990 but never got the software and couldnt afford to keep up my QLink account. That'd be cool if there were still some buried QLink treasure out there somewhere.

It was beta tested starting in 1986. It was later "downsized" and became Club Caribe, which opened to the public in January 1988. I was in Club Caribe a lot from 1988-1990.
