Hey Folks,
Artillery Duel's pretty much wrapped up - I'd like to tweak the windspeed and make the playfield random, but otherwise it's pretty much exactly where I wanted to get it.
So, I've been thinking about what sort of game to tackle next. I'd really like to do something multiplayer, and I've already made a simple server in Java that can co-ordinate a large number of C64s, at least in terms of messaging.
I have some ideas already, but I'd like to hear from you. Any suggestions? Any genre that would work especially well, especially on the C64?

I'm not sure if it's possible, but networked M.U.L.E. would be cool... It's already a 4-player game. :-)

morning sirs, now my 5 ct... we've discussed some thread like this in the german c64forum as well. A nice fellow called Hannenz started programming a poker game (texas hold'em afaik). Please contact him, he was in the search for some help. freenet-homepage.de/hannenz is his homepage, regards, masterhit

a multiplayer card game would work very well with a retro computer, I've held back from trying any of these poker games but this could get me hooked!

I'd like to see a Multiplayer Ultima 1/2/3/4 or 5 type game. Perhaps the server end runs on a modern PC, but the client is made to run on a C64/128. As for PC type Ultima game,s there is EUO as listed and U4MP which you can find some info at www.shatteredmoon.com. This program is being re-written, but I created a C64 emulated client for the older version. Basically it was the PC client with the C64 graphical interface and tileset. Original SID files were planned to be added, but then the author decided to re-start the project from scratch to be more of a classic Ultima Multiplayer server/client game. John
