Sorry the forum's been a bit quiet lately - after C4 I was away for work for a week, and it's been slightly crazy since. However, things have settled down quite a bit and I can now devote a bit of time each day to the game. ;D I already have some of the basic flow of the game working, and have mastered Six's netlib (at least as far as UDP is concerned). There are no visual effects yet - so it's a bit like playing a text adventure I'm hoping to have something somewhat user-friendly in a week or two that I'llpost and people can try out.

Yup, if you email me with any data that is to be passed to any routines I'm assigned, and what information you expect to be returned from the routines, that would make me smile Oh, and a "do this by this date or else" would be good too

Update to the update. Thurstan and I ran some tests a week ago, but didn't get anywhere - possibly misconfigured routers on one or both ends. The data (UDP, port 3000) simply didn't get into each other's LANs. Need to check our NAT setups.
Then I was on vacation for a week, so not much new since then.
Fuzz, I'll get all that to you ASAP.

I'm starting to think the config is good, but the 64 still isn't replying to the ARP requests from the router. I might have broken something in the netlib, need to dig a bit more.

Hi leif, I would have stayed on longer last night but mysteriously and coincidentally my internet access died just as I told you what IP address i use for the C64! Router probably needed a reboot, but strange it happened then!

That is strange!
I'm very busy this week, but next week we should be able to resume testing.
