I found this at a thrift shop, Sharp QA-25, a transmissive LCD designed for old-school overhead projectors. Took it home--of course it didn't work. So I opened the case and sure enough, a fuse was bad. Purchase price: $3 USD. It takes an RGB signal, can be used with cga/ega, apple ][, etc. Here it's hooked to my C128. The cartridge placed behind it is for scale. I can certainly be re-packaged--there's a 10''-wide fan it won't need (I don't intend to shove 500 watts of light through it.) Anyway, make a cool objets d'hack.

Are you coming to the C4 Expo in June? If so, please bring this thing, I'm sure many people would enjoy seeing it in operation.
It's especially cool seeing the 128's 80-column output on it.

Naw, I wish, being so close. [well, 4 1/2 hours away still counts as close, right?] But May & June are my busy time, especially weekends. I wouldn't have time to hack it into something cool by then, anyway.
