When you say 'fix' for the DTV how do you mean? The DTV has an joystick port so games only need to have the 'swap joystick port' function run on them from a "Super Snapshot" cartridge version 5 or better. This will get the program to poll the alternate port. Also my priority right now is to get a good base of games for the poor ole Hummer. However I encourage you to ask any questions you may have about patching the games on your own. With a PC and VICE it can be done in a few moments even for a beginner in ML.
This is some great feedback, Montezumas revenge may have a problem from my original file. Do you have a version that you can send me to compare? For Giana sisters did you press 1 on the keyboard? Maybe there is a problem with the Image I posted on my server. I did a check this A.M. on my Hummer and the copy on my floppy seems to work. It's possible that the wrong version ended up on the D64 image. I will sort that out tonight.
Hummer Power!

It turns out I dont have them all in my collection so it helps if I dont have to go looking all over the web for a good version. You should take a look at the Hungarian Commodore 64 H.Q. (yes, it's in Hungarian but you don't need to read the language to navigate the site). It's a file repository that has multiple versions of games which makes it particularly useful for finding ones you can work with. For instance, there are five versions of Montezuma's Revenge. In fact, some of the games in the DTV were sourced from there.

Great Golan, this will help a great deal! I am headed over there to take a look right now.

oh.. I also forgot to mention something. I did leave the ADC connected when I hooked up the joystick port. Appearently the ADC doesn't interfere with the joystick. However, I'm 100% sure the joystick would interfere with the ADC if you were trying to use them at the same time! However, that is an unlikely scenario. So the good news is people don't have to cut the traces.

Okay.. I'm trying to play wizardry. But I can't figure out what to do. I seem to be stuck in a room with a song playing. I can walk around, but can't figure out what to do. Anyone got a manual for this?

Anyone got a manual for this? Wizardry is a wonderful although difficult game with superb music. You'll find manual and spell book here.

Unfortunatly, this is for the DOS version, despite the fact that the beginning of the document says it is from Project 64. None of what it says seems to relate, and nothing tells how to get out of the room you start in. Thanks for the try, though.

Hi David, Best to refer to it as 'Spell of Destruction' as the other C=64 game with the Name Wizardry seems to be much more popular.
The game is quite difficult because of the lack of documentation. However here is what I have discovered so far:
Key 1 & 2 will scroll through your available inventory which also includes your sword. While you are in the starting room play with key 1 & 2 and get used to the scrolling spell list. Once you get that you are ready to exit the room. Move up to the door and press the 'Alt" key.
Alt key will open doors, press 1 & 2 to change selected item. Press your fire button to use/cast the selected item.
Use the hold-it spell to stop the monsters in their tracks and the fireball spell to dispatch them. Use the 'Tell Tale' spell for a clue when you enter a new area.
To get you started go look for the flying skull with a pentagram below him. Open the chest and then return to the spider room with skull on the wall. Select the 'Knock' spell and shoot the skull with it. Don't miss or you will have to start over! When you turn purple you can advance to the second stage.
I can record a demo of me solving the first stage if it will help.
I played this game for hours last night!

Really? That's odd. Try downloading this. I've confirmed that it is a) the documentation for the 64 version and b) includes a guide to get you through the first section of The Castle of Illusion. That should get you rolling.

I hope this clears up any confusion... The US version that I converted is the same in every way except that it has the text 'Spell of Destruction' in place of the 'Wizardry' in this example. www.gamebase64.com/oldsite/gameofweek/7/gotw_wizardry.htmHere is a US screen shot. in this review they really slam the game due to the slow play and so forth. I would say it's a bit like Quake II when you have to revisit locations again to complete the game. I was a bit fatigued by the Quake II scenario but here I seem to have a bit more stamina to play even when the game is so simple compared to the Quake II engine. I guess I'm hopeless. ;D

Another version of Space Harrier is now available for Hummer users. This version of the classic arcade conversion has several updates to the graphics and code that improve game play and visual appearance. The raster code has been updated to give a better view to the grounds motion.
It you just have to see what was different from the European version from Elite and the USA version from SEGA then here you go.
Enjoy.

I would like to announce the addition of the game Spelunker to the Hummer collection of converted games. This classic from Broderbund Software is by far one of the greats on the C64. This game hails from the C64's first years (1984) and is still quite addictive to this day.
