Is there any plan yet fixing the World Games for the DTV so that they can be flashed on the device?
World Games ist the game many miss on the dtv and also the file only versions of some events on the NTSC DTV are no replacement.

I know this isn't answering your question. But I certainly wouldn't miss it. I never understood why these games were popular even 20 years ago. I think they are kind of dumb, and many of them lead to premature joystick failure.

(If it doesn't already work) I don't know if it is level-packed, but probably. Otherwise you just need to make sure it uses the device number 1 instead of 8. EDIT: a quick look says the loader and highscore saver is at $ce00... the routine at $ce52 hard sets the device number to 8.

I guess you're talking about the games that require a lot of joystick waggling, but you must not have actually played most of the Epyx Games series, because apart from a bit of that in the original Summer Games, there really isn't any of that sort of thing going on. You might be thinking of other games like HyperSports, Track & Field, or Decathlon for example.

Come on, the old waggling was fun!
It was only the crap joysticks that broke. I think the quickshot (cr4pshot) would break before you finished the 100meter sprint. Good zipsticks and so lasted forever. I still have mine.
And the look on your parents face when they came to see what the h*** all that noise was about when 2 of you were racing the 1000meters was priceless.
Plus, its excercise! Kids today need more of that. Even if its only a little waggle.
Nothing will ever beat a DDR dancemat modded to a C64 joystick, and used on "Combat School" (in my opinion one of the hardest waggling games). That would keep you fit! (I built my own footpads thing for waggling games many years before ddr existed, but its a great tool for making them now.

I never understood why these games were popular even 20 years ago. I think they are kind of dumb, and many of them lead to premature joystick failure. They were the best games for more players. You have a competition and it's not too complicated so that everyone can join. Also I think you didn't play them because there is nothing ruining the joystick in the world games. I think it should be easy enough to fix the Mr.Z/Triad version of it. (If it doesn't already work) I don't know if it is level-packed, but probably. Otherwise you just need to make sure it uses the device number 1 instead of 8. I think I found one version that runs with other drive letters, but the problem is still that you cannot enter the names nor end the input with the joystick. So you'd have to change the keymap or something like that.

Anything new yet?
It's not so easy getting through this name entry. Maybe you can change the driver letter with some Action Cartdrige attached, with this you could even change the joystick port.
But making something that the missing keyboard is no problem I have no idea...

Seems there is not much happening here.
Another thing would be Summer Games II which is more useful on the DTV since Summer Games I doesn't let you chose the disciplines and most of the events make more sense with 2 joysticks.
As for the World Games I could try linking the drive letter to 1 instead of 8 and freeze the game but the problem will be that you can't pass the player setup without a keyboard.
